Actually, I'm interested in the LHD LCD display/dash also... Maybe the dealer will do a groupbuy to the US? I don't need the nav unit persay, but would get it if available.. I'm looking more for an X11 display that I can shoot ODB-II stuff to. (ODB-II+GPS+CDPD=neat toy.) Anyone know what the input to the JDM display is? LCD (24 pin or VGA) or NTSC/PAL in?

Anyone have any specs/experience with the stock one? How visible is it from the drivers side? It looks like it would be somewhat blocked due to the way its set back. Anyone know how visible it is in direct sunlight?

Not blocked at all. I can see my Alpine fine in direct sun. DVD's can be a little dark on dark scenes in direct sun.

Bad news, guys

My dealer just says me that the original nav system is not imported in Europe BUT he installed an aftermarket Alpine nav system in two S2000 for a cost betwwen CHF2000 and CHF3000 (US$1170 and US$1755)

Do you think he would be willing to just ship the dash?

How come you guys dont go with the Alpine or other aftermarket unit?

It will be less expensive and works just as well!

Since my screen is ouside of the dash, I get a good bit of sun glare... I'm going to cut and fit a PC monitor anti-reflective screen on it and see if that helps... I haven't watched movies on it yet... the supercharger keeps me too busy to watch DVDs...
