Yes, it was Stephan Ponte I was talking to. He quoted me around $200 for a protoype 2574. Later I read on some other forum that he's no longer with them. That could have been just a false rumor, though.

Thanks, especially, for filling me in about Digital Designs. I just bought their sub amp, the M1. If I was to buy a sub today, it would be a DD1008.

So you're going to CES? Can you let us know about any new 8" subs?

Anyways, the M1 amp is a beast. how many dd1008 is going to be hooked up to the amp?


I might or i might not make it to CES. It all depends if I'm done with my system by then. I still need to cut my car up to fit the horns in and at my rate, who knows it'll be done. lol.


As far as 8" subs, I don't really want to ruin the surprise. I don't want to get yelled at for leaking information when it's not suppose to be.

look on the bright side, CES is only within a week or so

so back on topic. When was the ED groupbuy suppose to happen?

 

Initially just one ported DD1008 (in a fiberglass enclosure where the spare tire used to be). Later I might try something else but that would be a long time from now.

 

I will be talking to eD when I get back in country. Currently in Sydney for a afew more days and then back to Auckland for a few more - should be back in the states around the 6th

I am waiting on eD to get back to me on pricing/availability/etc...

haven't seen the sub yet myself.... from what i'm hearing from Jim though, it's pretty good. i think he's considering keeping it...
