Im curious to see the out come of the comparison. The EA does look nice though.

I still like the Alphasonik better. Then again I too am a little biased!! =)

 

Well my first impression is this sub really rocks! I'm very impressed so far. I will do a comparison test later this week. Stay posted for more updates. I'm also hoping to get some good BASS CD's for Christmas so that I can do some real testing. Philip

 

Wow! I've read lots about the E8A but those are the first pics I've ever seen. The excitement this sub generated is understandable. If it sounds anywhere near as good as it looks (and all the testimony I've read indicates it does), then anyone who got one is a very lucky person.

Still makes no sense for ED to discontinue this model. Supplier problems?

 

holy crap.. ED looks like they downgraded from the 8-spoke basket to the cheaper 4-spoke stamped frame.

 

somewhat supplier problem and design problems, but hey, what do i know about ED.

 

like i told Jim -- Bass Revolution by the Bass Invaders is the song... i found it on Bass Explosion Volume 4, the Best in Bass..... (anyone else see a theme here?? )

also -- just for fun and to really work your sub out, you can also try Atomic Bass by Bass Bombers... also off the Bass Explosion CD. um, there's definitely a theme on that CD, but i can't quite put a finger on it...


am i a closet basshead? umm.... maybe?


sigh... don't get me started... supplier problems, fab problems, a minor engineering issue that could have been fixed but wasn't and was instead abandoned for a new generation...

i'd LOVE to put another A series in the Ody (or any other vehicle), but alas it can't happen now, and i've already bought a different sub for the Odyssey.


PS - don't get mad at me if you tick of your neighbors w/ those tracks... i know i have, and hey wouldn't you be mad too if someone shook your pictures off the wall?
