fiberglass sub enclosure help...
I am in the process of installing a small enclosure in the passenger footwell of my S2000 with a JL audio 8W3 in it. The enclosure is combination of fiberglass and MDF and takes up very little leg room. I have installed a good bit of car audio in the past, but this is my first attempt at working with fiberglass. I am not building a competition system, just something to fit my tastes.
My question is this...I have completed the enclosure and it sounds pretty good, but I have 2 small air leaks that I can feel air leaking out near complex bends/joints (also slight wizzing sound from these locations from the air working its way out of the layers of fiberglass). Is there a trick to filling these?

if you can reach into the inside where it leaks, use fiberglass to fill it, do this:
tear up some glass matts to the small fiber shreds, dump some resin in a bucket, throw in the shredded mat, mix into a goop, take the goop and plop it into the places where you think its leaking...oh, make sure ot wear double or even tripple layers of gloves, fiberglass fibers that stick up some times when its alld ry, will rip gloves like crazy.
ianother alternative, though I think is less effective, is to use a ton of black silicone sealant.
