Damn I need to make an extra MDF cover with grill like that. Such an easier and cleaner solution to it. I want to still be able to put groceries in the back and not mess up my speaker lol. Well done!

i grabbed the optional one from Zen Enclosures, i'm sure you could order just the cover for it.

nah, that's alpine amp and street edge amp (idk the second brand)

this ^ one is just showing how the cover attaches, with velcro, eventually i imagine with enough on offs that the carpet will fray out and not hold as well. i've only removed the cover twice though.

again, i Highly recommend Zen enclosures.

This is good info for me. I was getting ready to ask questions about Sundown Audio stuff. I've been out of the car audio game for a while. I've read good things online but wondered what the s2ki crowd had to say. I need a sub for my S2k and my daily driver 2008 Accord. I'm thinking one SA8 v2 for the s2k, and one SA12 for the Accord.

Those SA8 V2s look cool, especially with that double sewn surround.

I have owned everything from Alpine, Sony, Infinity, Polk, and Sundown subwoofers and by far the most impressive are the Alpine Type R and the Sundown V2 series 8", 10", and 12". For me, this subwoofer/vehicle layout was targeted to be light weight without sacrificing power handling. My current SA-8 V2 is taking all of my 1000w Alpine class D amplifier like a champ @ 4ohms. The same amplifier was driving my previous 12" alpine type R and it was ridiculous.

Buy sundown audio with faith, but IMO stick with the SA-8 for your S and two of the SA-8's for the Accord. The 8" and 10" share the same magnet size haha it is a tank! With a recent 4 subwoofer build I have learned more drivers moves more air = more BASS. Get a ported boxed for both, period. You will be impressed
