help with alarm install

Default help with alarm install

hey it says the door open trigger wire is black/white on the keyless entry module harness. however, there are two black/white wires. do i connect the green (ground signal) wire from my Clifford to both of them?

test them with a multimeter do find out which one is the correct one...... and If you dont have a multimeter you shouldnt be doing the install.

i have a multimeter. it reads 0 the whole time

of course it will. The wire is negative trigger.


In other words when the door is open the wire tests as a ground.

So you need to set your multimeter to test for ground with a tone. (ie when both your tips read the same groun it will sound a tone)

or if your multimeter doesnt have that fuction. tap the negative probe to the wire you want to test and the + probe to 12v. When the door opens you should see 12v.
