no deals on e12a's... they only distribute through a fairly limited network and direct from manufacturer...

thankfully, he doesn't charge what others would charge as 'retail' for a sub like that... otherwise, you'd be paying close to double.

OK folks, I've been posting around in the electronics section, and a few of you know who I am. But lately I've been busy working and driving, and driving.
The driving has been fun.

I finally took some time out to take some pics, these are preflight photos strictly digital, I was just checking light etc. but they came out nice enough to show y'all. I'm going to take a proper camera next time and use a tripod, and get everything right, but you get the basic idea of what my car looks like. (probably alot like yours LOL )

The only mod I've got on the car so far is the clear sidemarkers, I've got the Rick's "S" badges on the way and I've got red G2 caliper paint ready. But I'm waiting on Decal Girls "S" decals. Do you need to seal them? What is a good hight temp. sealer anyway? Does the silver match my Sebring?

OK here's some pics of my car:

isn't she nice?

Love the oval shape of the exhaust tips and the integration with the rear bumper. Makes the whole back of the car look better (compared to previous model years).

Congratulations!

Man, you gotta hardwire that fuzz buster :-)

Looks good. Really really familar (especially since those pictures give it the silverstone look).

I love seeing S pictures, I don't care if they're stock or not.

Yes, she's very nice.

THIS IS MY SOON TO BE SETUP AND YOU WILL BELIEVE THAT THIS WILL BE THE MOST BALANCED SYSTEM(nice HIGHS with just the right amound of bass)

My last system was GHETTO, i had 3 12's but the highs were good too.

HEAD UNTI: Well anyone u like(get an MP3 one for sure), you can put like 100 songs on a cd. ALPINE or Kenwood. No Pioneer in my opinion, its all show but no go.

SPEAKERSne set of 6.5 components-MB Quart components

SUB: One Solobaric L7 12 inch w a custom box.

AMP: get a mono amp-Directed 1100 watts to push the solo baric
and if you want to get a 2 channel small amp to push the highs, really not necessary

get a capacitator-digital display

about 1600 with install i think

good luck

Chad:
"Man, you gotta hardwire that fuzz buster" Oh yeah man don't you know it...The Modifry "brights flash to open garage door" will happen at the same time. I can handle both myself. I'm also going to paint the calipers with glossy red G2 paint and put on the Decal Girls "S" decals. Does anyone know: do you need to seal them? What is a good hight temp. sealer anyway?

So the car is very much in a virginal stock state.

I'm not planning on going "wild" with it, I'm going to make enough changes so that the average Joesphine will think its just a really nice stock vehicle with a fancy head unit. No reason to overstate an already beautiful car IMO.

Honda Import:
After weeks of contemplation this is the system I have arrived at. It is outrageous and totally unneccessary but NFRS has talked me into it. It's totally his fault and I blame him for everything. My dog needs to get a job to pay for it but it is totally worth it.

HU:
ALPINE 9833
(must wait for this, and therefore entire system)
Ai net wired and ready for the ipod.
Lucid's DCI (of course)

AMPS:
(2) Phoenix Gold Ti 600.2
150W x 2 @ 14.4V
(fronts)
600W x 1 @ 14.4V
(sub)
secret "Blingiest undercover mount ever" TBA with pics.

Fronts: FOCALS 165 K 6.5

SUB:
Elemental Designs e10A.22 or e12A
(I'm leaning towards the 12)

e12A.22
Available Voice Coils : Dual 2 ohm
Recommended Power Range : 750/1400 watts
Recommended Applications : Sealed / Vented
Rec. Box Sizes : Sealed (.7-1.2cF), Vented (1.4-1.8cF)

Spod rears: 5.25 infinty components with a small unspecified mono-ed amp running them. (this is Phil's fault)

Sealed enclosure that was in Darkknights s2k: (a dash of the "darkside" for flavor) (Darkknight's Fault)

So as you can see this web site has saved me money and cost me money. I will have a much better ride because of all the input. Thank you all!

Actually Phil, just between you and me and all the readers, you're getting alot of the blame. It's just that Dave insisted I get two 600 Ti's. The both of you have been a tremendous resource.

Do you think that this system will be balanced? Will I have power issues, i.e. dimming lights? I don't think that the power issues will be all that significant because I'm not going over the 1000 watt threshold, and I'm not a high volume competitor, although I've freaked some people out with my minivan.

Also: what do you know about sealing the decals on the Calipers?

Phil:
You get all the blame for the elemntal design subs BTW. And it is the only component besides S-pods and Lucids that I am paying retail for. So the sub better kick ass!

I'm sure it will, all the reviews have been stellar. And she is pretty, pretty.

me and my big mouth... from a little blame to way more...

and i think your system should sound fabulously balanced. just really really loud.

but seriously, don't be surprised if you have light dimming though. thankfully, the HID's don't dim, so it won't be too noticable from the exterior. on second thought however, you may not have the dimming problems i have, b/c i think the PG Ti sub amp is a D class, which is much more efficient (maybe 2x's more) than my amp gulping class AB 'known for its inefficiency' Kicker ZR.

i actually know very little about sealing the decals on the calipers. i didn't know they were even on sale still... i thought i saw people talking about using a high-temp BBQ paint sealant or something a while back.
i plan to do mine, but i think i'm going to go the black route... i just need to wedge some time in there. it will most likely be my next mod after a Voodoo knob.
