Personally, I wouldnt go Octane R.....they are Phoenix Gold mid line.....I rather get another manufacturers top of the line. If you want PG, get the Ti 900.7
Its pricey, but weeeeeeeell worth the money. ANd 1 amp will do your whole car.

I could take the Phoenix Gold Ti 500.4 and bridge two channels, having 75 watts RMS running to the fronts, and 150 to the sub?

But alas, 150 still is not enough for the Elemental Designs e10A.22, I'd need to get a sub that needs less juice.

Now the Phoenix Gold Ti 900.7 is a seven channel amp, how could I configure that? It seems to be made to run a surround sound system. Could I configure it to run with a single sub, and two fronts?

I could use the center channel mono to run the rear fill, bridge four channels for the sub, and use the remaining two for the fronts? I don't know, bridging four channels for the sub sounds kinda funky.

Here's the answer: Phoenix Gold Ti 800.1 for the sub (Elemental Designs e10A.22) and the Gold Ti 500.4 bridged for the fronts. That way I've got 150 watts for the fronts and 400 (or 800 watts at two ohms) running the sub.

That should be adequate.

Darkknight, I think the opening is 9 and 3/16. That's the opening diameter of the Alpine sub you had in your / mine / our sub box. The Elemental Designs e10A.22 is about 1/16 of an inch smaller but with an O-ring it should be fine.

Option B......2 for front, 2 for rear, 2 for sub
Option C.......my choice...4 for front 2 for sub, 1 for good luck

Ok, while we're playing: what would be the Xtant solution?

Xtant

Xtant A4004T 4 channel amp

50 watts @ 4 channels
200 watts @ 2 channels

Xtant X1001 mono block

500 watts @ 4ohms
1000 watts @ 2ohms

I also save $300 with Xtant.

Any thoughts?

Remember........you dont have a suburban, you have an s2000

THe 1000.1 amps are BIG!

THe 900.7 is a great amp for an amazing powerful system. Those amps are of the highest quality, and I have never met anyone who had a problem with one.

The Xtant solution is good, but again, space.....

However, if you dont care about trunk space, which you shouldnt, you may quite possibly have the best system of anyone here.

I do care about trunk space, absolutely.
So I took the measurements from the retailers and the Xtants are bigger.

Xtant x1001 :
20.75 inches x 10.5 inches

Xtant A4004T
15.75 x 9.25

Phoenix Gold
Ti 500.4
16 x 10

Gold Ti 800.1
size 18 x 10

What i need to know now, is how much space do I have to work with? If one of you guys could give me some measurements, you would help me out tremendously!

Unfortunately...as much as I would love to help you with measurements, its -25 below 0 and my car is covered. I cannot take the measurements for you......thats a job to the west coast boys or perhaps down south.....yeeeeee haaaaawwwwww.....

The 900.7 *might* fit in that space.....probably not. I have a better idea for you if this one doesnt work *pullspimptricksoutofsleeve*
