Default Help me decide on a sub!

Okay, I need to decide on a subwoofer, preferably 1 - 12 inch.

My budget is somehwere in the $200's.

I wanted to go with the kicker solo baric 12 inch L7, but too many people discouraged me on this sub, thus, I must seek other alternatives. I was thinking about infinity kappa perfect 12 inch....

Give me all your reccomendations. The best sounding, hardest hitting sub w/ the best overall quality in the s2000.

i work for ultimate electronics and id say either alpine type R if you were to do a perfect you would want it in the same compartment as you so you can get the "good sound quality effect" ie if oyu had like a gti or something but if you go with the type R it will be a louder sub and still have great sound quality. Kicker sux if you want to go with that expensive of a sub do the new carbon fiber aluminum cone alpine type x a 12 will run you about 450 and you can pump up to 3000 watts to it 1000 rms, thats the one i am going to do.

Does your budget include enclosure costs? What kind of amp do you have to drive the sub?

Alpine is great, but the type R is not the hardest hitting sub. Id look into the Alpha 800 series 12", Eclipse, Ed....stay away from kicker.

I enjoyed my 12" Image Dynamic IDQ while I had it. But then I needed something that could handle more power when I got my JL 500/1 amp so I went with a 12" Eclipse Aluminum.

Both of those subs should be able to be bought for about $200 or less, with the Eclipse being about $200
