Help troubleshooting system
I'm riding down the highway and my system goes silent. I look down at my stereo and everything is still working. It must be the amp. I pull over and pop the trunk and take a look at the amp. The lights indicate that there is no power running to it. I check the fuse under the hood from the battery to the amp and it's O.K. CRAP now I don't know what else to do any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is my setup
Headunit: Kenwood KDC-3025
Amp: JL Audio 500/5
Speakers: JL Audio VR series, and bass shakers
Sub: JL Audio 10w3
I haven't unhooked the amp from the system and tried running power to it to see if the problem is in the wiring. If anyone has any ideas that I could try before doing that it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for not being able to give any more details. Thanks in advance.

My headunit has been acting up lately, the screen blacks (blues) out when I try to change stations I just attributed it to being old and/or slash having a bad connection on the backside of the faceplate.
Would this have anything to do with the remote lead?
Or can the remote wire be bad just by itself?
Basically, do I have to replace the whole headunit or can I can the remote wire be fixed?
