well, i love the car but the sound is too quiet with the top down for me on the highway, so for louder sound i figured a new head unit would fix me. I found this unit for a very good price. epinions??? THANKS!

I have the X789 and love it except the read out is VERY hard to see with the top down.. Other than that, it's a great head

and... i'm sorry but this post may as well be deleted because i can't justify getting this installed and losing the controls on the side near the door. i know they can be added, but i dont know anyone who could do it i dont think.

UMMM....with the modifry DCI ($100) you can retain, and even gain some, functionality of the dash controls. As long as the HU has a remote. If you can tell colors apart, you can install it yourself....no real experience needed (I WOULD KNOW....I did it a month or so ago!) IF you are not comfortable with it, a shop (Best Buy, Circuit City, or a private shop) could install it in less than 30 mins.
