well i was told that if i go with true hid then i would lose DRL function because there isn't enough power going to the ballast .... or something like that

I only use them on very dark roads with no on-coming cars coming my way and i don't use them when there are drivers ahead of me traveling in the same direction as i am.

PLEASE, do not turn the S into a moving stadium lighting apparatus, all you will do is blind on-coming drivers. Also, if you were to flash them as you would your regular high beams, you will eventually kill the ballast and the HID capsule. HID capsules are not made to turn on and off rapidly like a halogen bulb.

Also, HID in high beams is pretty ricey if you ask me.

hitman, thanks for the comment...i know its huge but if it was smaller you wouldn't be able to read it....its just something we did for our friends....

GRANDPRIX.................why do you consider hid highbeams ricey...i used to have them on my Maxima and my TL....i don't know....maybe your right...plus why waste the money right?

To me, it's over doing it with the HID in the highbeams.

did any try to change to yellow/goldish highbeam DRL?? that might look good

and is there a way to power up the DRL low voltage when the HID is turned on at night(hopefully won't blink anyone with low voltage)? like those city lights on the jdm integra or old lexus... those look pretty nice.

last tuesday I took out the silversstar H1 high beam to PIAA Ion Yellow 110w

love them, using the HB more than ever

2005 / Ap2 / No DRL
