I emailed him on the 13th with the same question and never heard back from him. Vacation? I'm getting a wired-remote capable Pioneer and wanted to know if I should order the Sony (seems to be the only choice at the store).

 

Yes. The "Sony" wired model will work with Pioneers that use a similar wired remote. The DEH-P7700MP and DEH-P80MP (and the Premier 770 and 8) are both ones that should work with it.

not sure. i don't know what his schedule is, but i do know he travels a good bit for work.

i know he disabled PM's b/c he mentioned it to me at the SESM this year.

 

Just got a reply from Modifry. I was worrying about the S for no good reason. Also, he said that he would exchange the IR emitter for the mini-plug for me as soon as I send it back. No more worries and he was very helpful.

No problem Bob, I did go directly to your site for your email, maybe there was a typo on my part or something. I went ahead and ordered the Sony wired DCI from the store anyway. Hopefully it the right one!

I'll throw out my question here since there may be one or two others that are curious too.

I am buying a Pioneer HU which supports their wired remote. I saw on your site that there is a version for Sonys and Pioneers that support their respective wired remotes. At the S2K store, they only list the Sony DCI. I was just trying to confirm that both Sony and Pioneer use the same version of DCI. Thanks!
