Good grief! You'd think I paid you guys to push my products. Thanks for all the good feeedback.

I need to spend more time here and get to know you guys again. I've been awol for the last couple years so I'll make a New Year's resolution to stop by a couple times a week. Well, at least once a week, don't want to over-commit.

Here's what I think is an honest comparison between the two products, though on this page I did not mention the lag issue that others talked about.

One more note - even though my "official warranty" is 1 year, it's pretty rare for me to charge to repair a DCI no matter how old it is. Overall I get so few returns that the only time I charge is if it's been physically damaged or a wiring error has fried something. And I've never charged more than $30 to fix one, and that includes return shipping.

Still loving mine. It is superior in every way except cost, but to be honest you get what you pay for.

The PAC=PoS! Had it in my S2K and in my Civic Si. Man, that thing is a pain to install and is so slow that it will make you pull your hair out. The worst thing is that when you turn the volume up you will over do it everytime and jump out of your skin. This is due to the lag. I have bought a few products from Modifry and have been happy everytime. I will pay a few extra dollars for quality. After all, I love my S2K and it is worth it. The DCI is one of Modify's best products in my opinion. Ultimately you have to make the decision though. Just my two cents.

Same way all the other endlessly repeated discussions of forum sites occur.

I absolutely love my DCI as well. Works beautifully. Whenever I upgrade my speakers I just need to go back and wire in the mute and speed control. So many options and much more functionality over the PAC.

i have some problems with my IR DCI. When i hit mute, it only loweres the volume like half way. And the buttons like the dash volume work intermittently. Also, when i turn the car off after a few seconds, there is an odd beeping 3 times.

1)Double check your remote eye and connections.

2)If still a problem, contact modifry, and he'll sort you out.
