I bought my car it had a aftermarket deck in it and the controls on the S2k dash did not work. I expected this as it was an aftermarket deck... lol.

SO at any rate i was playing since i had just bought it and was lookin around taking this panel off and that panel and found a PCB w/ dip switches etc under the kick panel in the drivers side near the radio... it says "Modifry" and i was like - that sounds bad... lol.

At any rate, found that it was a "DCI" and i was like... so why isn't it working. Turned out that it had somehow got unplugged from the wired remote port on the back of the radio.

Hooked it up all is good on my controls. Dunno if that will help you, but hope so

J/Tharg!

If the switches are all in the appropriate location and everything is plugged in securely I would get in touch with Modifry and see what they suggest. I don't know what kind of headunit you have, but make sure its not a problem with the dimmer, I know certain decks don't work properly with the DCI if the display is dimmed on the deck.

I recently lost some of the functions on my DCI and after separating the wires from the unit and plugging them back in it worked fine. I think I may have accidentally done something to the unit during installation. Just unplug and replug and see if that works.

thanks all, i have the full harness that modifry sells for the alpine deck. It is the one that plugs directly into the HU and then to the car harness, no cutting or splicing at all. I will check the remote cord and see if it came loose some how
