Default My ANTI-Deterrent checklist

My AP2 is getting delivered at the end of the month and I'm making a anti-deterrent checklist. Let me know if I'm missing anything or have suggestions. I have a few other planned security features that I would like to keep confidential with all respect.

car will be garaged kept

2 way alarm with gps tracker that has all range sensors, glass, motion, tilt and proximity. backup battery & siren

CUSTOM SEATLOCKS, CUSTOM WHEEL LOCK SYSTEM, CUSTOM PEDAL LOCK, AND MY FAV....GLOCK 9MM.

Anti-deterrent? That's not what you want. You want deterrents.

Subjective matter. Take whatever precautions you think are reasonable.

For wheel locks, you want the acorn rotating style wheel locks. Regular wheel locks can be defeated sooo fast, and I can tell you how but mods will get in a tizzy. Its not that im trying to teach thieves because they already know how to get your stuff. I want to show you how they do it so you can better protect yourself. Just make sure your wheel locks are the free spinning type. Thos are a serioius pita to defeat

Heres a reference to the spinning sleeve locks. The are not guaranteed protection but they are alot harder to beat than regular wheel locks. I can pop off a set of regular wheel locks in less than a minute and I dont boost cars for a living.

Here's a deterrent to seat theft that costs less than $1. This works if you are at least average height. Also works best if you are the only driver, I pinned the seat in its track using a hex head bolt. With my normal seat position, the rear seat attachment bolts are hidden under the seat. A thief would have to slide the seat forward to loosen the rear bolts. (I have a set of anti-theft bolts on the front, so those bolts can't be removed, but with this technique, it would take a lot more effort to slide the seat forward and then undo the bolts). Why does this work? It's very dark and cramped under the seat. by the time a thief has figured out why the seat doesn't move, he's wasted a lot of time. Of course, he'll get mad and slash your top. A hardtop will keep casual thieves from getting into the car. Having said all that, it's hard to enjoy the car when you are so worried. Good Luck.

Great constructive tips and advice, thanks to this s2ki forum. I've learn a lot about how to take precautionary measures from other members mishap and thieves that has no income to support our kind of lifestyle. I've always had a passion for owning and enjoying an engineering marvel of the s2000. Let's be honest, we are all apart of this community to help each other protect that lifestyle. It really does suck to hear that someone s2k get stolen or broken into on a weekly basis. Thanks for replying. keep it coming. p.s. I'm not worried. I wish for the best and expect the worst, but if i shoot someone, i promise you i won't kill them. I just want them to suffer being paralyze from the waist down for the rest of their lives over a depreciating asset.

Was good to be able to talk to you without getting "moderated" through our personal email. You now have alot better insignt and advice how to protect yourself from thieves, the thieves know how to defeat nearly any method we use quickly and silently, its really a game of cat and mouse to see who is 1 step ahead. Know how the thief thinks and you will be 1 step up on protecting yourself here.

Even statistically they usually strike between 2am and 5am because thats when most of their targets are crashed out hard and dead asleep! Thieves may usually find you from either following you or even staking out to learn your routine so they can chose a time that is best for them to steal your stuff. Always be aware and vigilant about your surroundings and cars around you, you never know whenn you may end up being followed by scum who want to steal your seats.
