Default Need help - quick!

Just got done changing the system in my S and have run into a huuuge problem.

The passenger side window won't go up.
I've tried removing and reinstalling the connector on the passenger door.
Removed the new(larger) door speaker.

Tried to roll up the window from the driver side.

Nothing works...

I'm worried that we may have punctured an electrical wire(those that have done their own speakers will understand the PITA that is the door speakers).

Any troubleshooting tips?

I can't even hear the motor starting up, so i think it is electrical.
Anyone know the voltages across the connectors(wiring side) so i can troubleshoot.

thanks in advance
sam

Not to insult your intelligence...but have you tried hitting the power window switch on the driver's door handle?

If not, check the fuse...it's under the dash

read the above post bro... i tried the driver's side switch.

theres an independent fuse for the passenger window?

FYI: the passenger side side mirror motors work...

anyone else have any suggestions?

When the "safety" switch on the drivers side it set to "lock" the pasenger side window won't move using either side.

Not the passenger window control on the driver's side, but the switch that locks the passenger window from being rolled up.

And yes, there is an independent fuse for the passenger window.

Someone else might have better suggestions, but I'd suggest you try those two first

99.99999999999999999% its the lock switch on the drivers side.
.0000000001%, when you put in your speakers, you forgot to connect the window harness.

Don't feel stupid dude- I used to manage a car stereo shop when I was in college. I lost count of the number of times I was accosted by angry Honda owners with non-functioning passenger windows. They would accuse me of breaking their car- then I would calmly walk to their car and flip the window safety switch.

I tried really, really hard not to smirk afterwards, but it was difficult.

I got even better...

My cousin and I used to run a car shop in college as well. But only performance-oriented, no bodywork.

Kids used to come in after we would install a turbo or supercharger kit and rev the car and bitch at us because the boost gauge would still be in vacuum.

Trying to explain load and why you won't see boost in neutral was too much for some people to understand.
