It works GREAT !

Install time was less than 90seconds and SUPER EASY.

I did a quickie page at http://www.rambour.com/cars/s2000/radio_ipod.html with some pictures. I ended up making a bracket to hold it and the whole thing was about a half hour, no wiring, just easy and it sounds GREAT.

Were you accessing the cable through the trunk because your car had a trunk CD changer, or do all S2k's have that cable in the trunk? From reading the instructions on the SPEC it looked like the attachment was at the head unit, inside the front dashboard.

I second the ipod idea. I have a 160GB one in my car, and never need to look anywhere for music. The other day, I opened my secret compartment and found this...

Totally forgot I installed that in there. It still has the same CDs in there as when I installed it. Ipods made CDs obsolete to me.

That's what I am looking for now.

I was going to order it yesterday, but had a few questions before I did it.

I have 05' model.

1. Are you still using the same factory HU with that 6 CD/MP3 Changer?

2. Can you still use the audio controller on dashboard to control volume

or do other functions?

3. How hard to connect it to stock radio? Should I remove the stock radio

and play with wires? or is there any hidden, seceret wire harness that

I can just plug in?

4. does it fit ok?

Thanks.

If you need a factory CD changer (8 disc), I'll sell you mine. It comes off of an '04, its MINT condition, and includes all mounting hardware (including the bracket). PM for pictures and details.

It was mounted in the trunk, its literally a 30 minutes install if you want to do it yourself. I can even take pictures of where to cut your liner so you can mount it, and where it hooks into the car.

I too decided to go the upgrade the stock head unit route. Unfortunately this changer doesn't hook into the aftermarket unit, plus I'm just using a hard drive now.

Does the deck show the titles of the songs playing?! Or does it just say MP3 or something?!
