Default Passenger Side Window Regulator Issues After Replacement

Hello all,

My passenger side window regulator motor has been burnt out for awhile, so over the weekend I decided it was time to replace it.

Before purchasing a new one I made sure my window lock wasn't on!! and then pulled the door panel off to and measure voltages through the window switch and motor wiring, tricking the system by using the drivers side controls. There was power so I confirmed it was a motor issue (my regulator was still on the track and the cabling was still intact). When I got the new one, I plugged it in to the door wiring and switch before installing it in the door to make sure it worked. As soon as I turned the car on it started moving up the track (no window switches were engaged) and it effectively jammed itself by going too high on the track. I spent awhile un-jamming it by opening the motor and physically turning the motor to relieve tension on the cable and lower the mechanism on the track. I removed the old one, installed the new one, reattached everything and now it does not run. I do not even hear the motor attempting to move. I opened the old motor and saw it corroded and locked up, the new one is perfectly fine, and I even moved the motor and was able to turn the gearbox to move the mechanism on the track!!! Its got power going to it, my only thought is there maybe is a ground issue? The motor grounds itself to the door inner through the 3 bolts I assume? Before installing but after clearing the jam on the new one I plugged it in again and tried to ground one of the screw holes on the motor to the door inner, but the motor would not run.

I checked fuses before the jamming action happened but maybe worth a try now? I think jamming the mechanism effectively destroyed it, but it is weird that I can still move it by turning the motor by hand.

Lastly, there is a small switch on the motor assembly. I noticed that if it was in one position it wouldn't turn the gearbox. Perhaps during install I flipped it to the position? I spent awhile trying to flip it back when inside the door but the shape of the door inner makes it effectively impossible to move unless unbolting everything again.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, let me know if you have a spare passenger side window regulator!
