My car didnt come with an alarm, but I think it would be a good idea to get one. So what would you guys suggest?

I'd like something that would give me remote start (think there is one or two out there that work safely w/ a manual). If there are alarms that will sense if a window is broken that would be nice too.

Any suggestions?

Most of them are owned by Directed....Python, Avital, Hornet, Clifford...the list goes on. Someone might have some better recommendations on a brand. Just be sure to get a proximity sensor and trunk/hood pins. I'd expect to spend at least $400.

Is install pretty tricky? I can follow directions pretty well, and I am not sure that the kids at Best Buy are any better at it than I am.

What do trunk/hood pins do? Does the compustar have that feature?

 

They go off when the trunk or hood is opened......

yes they all have some sort of thing for this I think.
