Problem with New Install
Hi Mike,
I emailed StereoSource@sbcglobal.net about GT-22. The seller does not allow pickup and she would not discount shipping charge. So that the total price will be $199 + 7.75% tax + $32 shipping + $3 Insurance = $249.42
The 4-channel GT-40 specs is below:
Multi-Ch. Power @ 4-ohm (12.6VDC): 4x45W
Multi-Ch. Power @ 2-ohm (12.6VDC): 4x70W
Dual-Mono Power @ 4-ohm(12.6VDC): 2x140W
Dual-Mono Power @ 2-ohm (12.6VDC): 2x175W
Mixed Op. Power @ 4-ohm, 2ohm (12.6VDC): 2x45W, 1x190W
Mixed Op. Power @ 4-ohm, 2ohm (14.4VDC): 2x55W, 1x240W
Frequency Response (-3dB): 10Hz-95kHz
Signal to Noise Ratio (A Weighted): >100dB
Height: 2-1/4" (57mm)
Width: 14-1/8" (358mm)
Depth (w/Mounting Feet): 8-7/8" (225mm)
Note: Dual-Mono Power @ 4-ohm(12.6VDC): 2x140W, which is more than GT-24 (2x120W @ 4-ohm(12.6VDC))
If you split the front 2 channels to 4, the two left channels are connected to front inputs, the two right channels are connected to the rear inputs, then using bridge mode to drive the front left speaker with front output and right front speaker with rear outputs, you have 140Wrms for each front speaker. The only problem is this amp is too big for under seat mounting, it can be installed behind the seat. Since you have sub amp behind driver seat, it may need to move to behind passenger seat and install this GT-40 behind driver seat. Also, it cost a little more at $279 + $30 shipping and insurance.
