Quick S-Pod Speaker Question
I just got some S-pods and have a 2005 that is supposedly pre-wired for rear speakers, I am going to be running just a regular coaxial 5.25" and was wondering if I need to upgrade my amp and where exactly the 'pre-wire' harness is (I am fairly new to electronics installations) thanks so much.
The 2005 is NOT prewired for rear speakers (unless a previous owner wired it for you (unlikely). I would be inclined to run them off the radio's rear channels. If you have amplified door speakers, adding S-pods to the mix will make them WAY too loud and will probably drop your impedance load too low for most amps. What kind of amp are you running?
On the S-pod website it says 04+ is pre wired for rear speakers (the OEM accessory ones for the seats) so I just assumed mine was as well.
My entire system is stock, and I look to keep it that way.
EDIT- searched for a while and found that indeed the 04-05 do have a prewire, it is in the driver knee panel. However I read that the stock HU is quite underpowered, so can anyone suggest a moderately priced 5.25" coaxial speaker set that will work well with the stock HU? I would really appreciate it, thanks.

you head unit will support it, but you have to run the wires yourself.
