Remote Start and PKALL help
yep ur right its both or none. If you cut the wire and not tap into it u will have the antigrind feature as well as the starter disable. But if you just tap the wire you wont have any of that.

got it. i asked the question on the the12volt forum and they said it's program feature #1-9
"automatic engine disable off" which is default,
I have to turn this feature on and car will not start when armed even with key.
I have to try this when I get home.
Another problem solved!
*EDIT* you know come to think of it.. it's quite scary... few of my friends cars with 791x have that feature of default, with the 556U unit. this is how they give the car's to customer from many installers,
better tell them about this shet.. or it's practically give thier car away to theives.

in the s2000 there are 2 ignition wires... 2 accessory wires and 1 starter wire...
Here's what the wiring diagra says.
key ignition module -> orange wire -> relay (starter button triggered) -> black/white wire -> starter
1st ignition connection should be one of the black/yellow (I can't recall if there was 2 black/yellow)
2nd ignition connection should be black/red so radiator fan can run as well as HVAC during remote start ( i just made this connection as well so my car doesn't over heat during remote start)
accessory is white/red

i hate 556u. cause u can just break the 556u case open and take the key out and unplug the alarm and start the car lol...
someone can always break the steering colum trace the antena wire and find it.
bypass kit makes it easier to hide and no antena.
I'm gonna have to bump this as I have the same problem with my newly installed python 991. The car only remote starts after turning the key to the on position. I have the pkall wired up and everything seems to be fine as I checked my connections.
Funny thing is....the LED on the antenna constantly stays on AND I'm not valet mode. The same goes for the parking lights...they don't flash on and off when i arm/disarm the alarm...they constantly stay on, so the connection is currently disconnected.
any ideas?
