Not sure if this has been asked already. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. I'm a new 2000 s2k ap1 owner. I'm getting back into the swing of things, my last honda (acura) was an integra more than 10 years ago. I'm a noob at electronic stuff but I'm still savy enough that I installed a head unit in the car. Now my next project is a BACK UP camera. You maybe wondering what I will be viewing the backup image on. I hunted down a boss bv7948b. They no longer make them but it has bluetooth, dvd, sd slot, usb, video input, video output, back up cam, and a 3.6 inch screen just small enough for an s2k with the radio door. Now i want to wire my backup camera and I need to find the reverse wire. I'm having a hell of a time finding wire diagrams for my year car and pictures to know exactly what I'm looking for. I know how to splice and solder but i just need to know exactly what wire I need to cut. I'm scared I will cut the wrong wire. Please help.

I understand about the back light part, but what does connect terminal do?

I'm installing a new mirror with both front and rare cam. I'm assuming they will need to be powered separately? Can you someone share the details of the hard wiring part? I'm pretty new to s2k...

 

What mirror are you running?

Also I know this was a long time ago but if you're still trying to do this I can tell you what I did. I did a lot of googling. This post helped me finish. Using the diagram above I was able to locate the reverse wire. You just need to connect the reverse wire to the reverse input on the headunit. Then it needs to be powered. I tapped the power from the reverse light since it only gets power when the car is in reverse. For the front cam that would need constant 12v I'm assuming. You can run a wire under the dash and use a fuse tap on one of the fuses that gives 12v when the ignition is on. Hope that helps.

 

FYI I also have a backup camera, and I tapped the reverse light. The camera needs power so you'll have to tap that location anyway.
