and how is the Modifry IR DCI?

 

i did not use the IR, im pretty sure that isnt the harness you want...but my harness works great, can change the songs on my playlists with the audio button, can still mute, change volume..

 

well what do you use b/c from modifry's website it looks like only the IR will work w/sony

 

I"m using the wired dci, it works fine minus being able to select presets from the controls.

the radio does have presets, but you just cant get to them from the dash controls. The way the presets work on this thing is kind of retarded..

you push the search button, turn the wheel till you find the preset you want, then press the wheel to select the preset. There are no provisions in the dci for anything like this.. i dont even know if the IR dci will work.

I only listen to 2 stations and mostly music from a usb drive or my phone so its not really a big deal to open the door and change stations.

 

I find myself using the remote as much, maybe more, than the dash or head unit controls.

 

I love this HU, but I've not listen to the radio. I always listen to my mp3.

 

from their site i was under the impression the wired DCI worked. and i have only talked to others with the wired...so i wouldnt waste the money if the wired DCI is known to work.
