Default Subwoofer issues help please

Hey guys, so I recently bought a s2k and I had a amp powering the speakers. I disconnected the speakers from the amp and decided to run a sub. The only problem I'm having right now is there is very little bass coming out and the sub is playing music aswell

The amp likely has a filter intended to send only appropriate signals to the speakers.
There are generally two types of filters -
  • "high pass" which only passes on frequencies above a certain level
  • "low pass" which allows through only frequencies below
As it was being used for the door speakers, it probably has been set with a high pass
filter on, whereas you want a low pass. There should be a switch for the filter type,
and likely a knob to set the frequency limit.

This is a long shot, but some higher-end head units also have filters so the tuning
can be done with the headunit rather than the amp.

The problem seems to be you simply removed the door speakers and connected a sub...

If that is the case then your going to get exactly that speaker sound from the sub.

Do you have a stock head unit or aftermarket?

Can you list your gear? Brand and model numbers please. We can't answer the questions correctly without that info.

Assuming you have an aftermarket HU, and assuming the HU has both FRONT, REAR and SUB RCA outputs, you need to move the RCA's from the Front/Rear stage to the SUB RCA out puts on the HU.
