Default Thank you EJ Forum

I needed to post a HUGE thank you to everyone in this Forum esp. all the EJs!

I used the FAQ and the search tool to answer all of my questions.
Great Stuff, nice job all around.

I intalled the wired DCI to the 9857 (soldered my own conenctions) and the IPod Cable.

I Couldn't be happier, well maybe if I get to swap out the 06's stock component speakers...eventhough they arn't that bad with the new HU. That could be my next project.

All the Best to the EJs!

there is lots of useful info here, it's a great resource.

You are using the same setup I am using, except that I did replace the door speakers and put in a small sub.

I put Alpine Type-S 6.5" components in the door, model number is SPS-171A. I powered them off the HU. Anything more and I would have put an amp in but I didn't want to do that, I did however run larger power cables than needed in case I change my mind.

I put an Infinity Basslink-X in the trunk, it provides enough low end to fill out the music, but not so much that you really feel it, which is about what I wanted in this car. The S is not the best car for audio.. I just wanted to hear something besides the highs with the top down

thanks Dave, I had the Alpine S's on the top of my list also,
The R's needed much more power and the other high effeceincy speakers I liked the Infinity Kappa's were only rated at 2 ohms, this made me think I could over work that HU samll IC amp...
Thanks for the insight!
