Default Two 8s or one 10?

I'v searched the forum but couldn't find anything relevant. Which option would be better for hard, clear precise bass hits. Not sure which route to take. Two 8s on both sides of the trunk(WLaurent box) or one 10 in the well. Thanks for any help.

One 10" will give you the bass you desire.

I have always liked 10s myself. Like you, I prefer a clear, precise sound. I hate rattling. I have not found many 8s that deliver the depth or power that I crave and 12s often struggle to maintain the crisp notes that I like.

On a different note I heard the old Focal 5ws 5" subs in an Infiniti G35 and I loved them.

i too am undecided on this issue. i had a 944 with a kick a$$ system in it. Eclipse head unit, Mbquart components and a 10'' L7 that would hit harder than most 12s. absolutely awesome system. As with the s2 i want to take up as little room as i can in the trunk, and still have some crisp sound. so back to sqaure one but i guess thats the fun of it all
