Default Where to mount amp?

I have my amp sitting in my spare tire right now,
where can I mount it so it is hidden. I was thinking about under the passenger seat. Where are your amps mounted?

I have a memphis class D amp, its pretty small, it sits inside the spare with some room to spare. Love the amp, beat one I ever had, it never heats up or anything.

My JL Audio 250/1 is mounted in my spare tire on a wooden circle. It powers the JL Audio Stealthbox. All is hidden. My front speakers I power from a "high power" Alpine head unit with 27 watts rms/channel. Adding the sub and taking the chore of providing bass away from the head unit helps the "60 watts x 4" head unit provide enough volume to the speakers for most situations.

what are you guy's carrying you're spare around for. From what i remember in the owners manual the thing is useless.

I've got my eclipse amp mounted on a piece of wood sitting where the spare used to be. The spare is a waste of time and here's why, if you should get a flat on a rear tire you need to move your front tire back and use the spare up front. The spare only works up front. And if you've got anything in the trunk, ANYTHING, the flat won't fit. You'd have to remove the tools and or sub to fit it. If you ask me, WAAAY to much aggravation. Put the spare in the garage, keep the tools so that your car doesn't just sit on a rim should the tire pop.

Your not supposed to put the spare on the back but I did once when I had a flat, drove it for about 5 miles. The car felt wierd with it on but it didnt cause any damage and got me to the dealership.
Wiht the panel to the spare removed, the wheel did fit in the trunk. My box is custom molded into the tool well. It sits flush.
