What are folks doing to wire these up? I pre-ordered the plug-n-play adapter harness and DCI from Modifry about a month back, but it still hasn't shipped yet. Seems like some people are getting these working without that?
Would it be worth it for me to wire it up partially while I'm waiting for the Modifry parts to ship? I already have the head unit itself.
I bought my CP-71W from Walmart and the harness and DCI from Modify.shop. I have received the HU, but it's been crickets from Modifry. I did get an acknowledgment of my order and order number, but nothing else. I have sent Modifry two emails asking if he had any idea when my order might be fulfilled. I've received no response to either email. Radio silence. That's not a good look for a business to have. So, instead of just waiting for who knows how long to get the harness and DCI from Modifry, I've ordered the Schoshe harness from Amazon (about $9) and made my own. I know the dashboard controls won't work, but at least I can use my new HU for most of its functionality.
I wish Modifry would at least respond. It's very disappointing.
It really is super disappointing. I've sent them numerous emails as well and no response. I miss the former owner. I dread the day that I'll need to purchase the DCI. (currently waiting for the harness) Anyone know any simple DIY DCI alternatives?
Thanks for the alternative recommendations and additional context on Modifry. Sounds like it's not worth waiting for my Modifry harness and DCI. I placed an order for the Scosche harness and the SWI-RC-1 just now
Unfortunately peakpx is an unsecured website, (according to Apple's Safari) and I cannot open that website. Do you remember what pixel size worked for the single DIN screen size?
Use a different browser, such as Chrome. I just download the image and loaded it as is without any modifications. I was surprised that it lined up perfectly.
Just installed the CP-71W. It was shockingly easy to do the whole job. Also just did the firmware updates and got Android Auto working easily. So far all good! Door closes with space to spare. I used the Scosche harness HA028-WM1SD. Sound is a bit better than the Kenwood KDC-X997 that it replaced. The bluetooth connects super fast too. Thanks to all posters for the 'help'.
You guys always come through.

Reason: added info
Connects almost instantly. No lag. Dash controls work. Rearview camera integration and built-in mic for calls (caller said I sounded clear on other end). Powering JL Audio components. Added an 8” Sony sub in the trunk. Highly recommend, looks and sounds great.
Use the Wal-Mart app, and if it’s sold out (as it was for me at many nearby locations) it might be in stock somewhere.
Power Acoustik CP-71
Does the little door that says S2000 on it close with this installed, thinking about picking one up. not a bad idea
