I've been pleased with the sound of my current setup, but need more content.

I ordered an XM receiver and the digital interface. I'll be installing it myself. Where does everyone mount these items? Is there anywhere to fit them under the dash or do you put it in the trunk? Does it come with long enough cables?

I assume this has been discussed before, but a search for "XM" isn't possible.

under the seat seems like a good place. mount the antenna behind the rollbar and then feed the power/signal wire through the center console by pulling the pins in the carpet and running the cables under that area of the carpet.

 

are you using the factory x/m unit with the factory head unit??

if so the box goes above the gas tank and simply plugs into the pre-wired plug that is back there
