Default AEM 1052 multiple maps?

can you store 2 maps inside the AEM 1 series or is it possible to change maps quickly from a laptop or something?

you can, but the solution is complicated. there are two ways of doing this:

1. use "user input" trims for fuel compensation. user inputs are signals coming into the ems that range on some voltage interval. examples are TPS, EGT. There are additional unused signal channels you can use. So essentially, use a 0-5v generating knob to compensate fuel +/-some number ms / volt of user input

use switch functionality to compensate ignition. essentially, use a toggle switch to remove a set amount of ignition timing. to advance timing via switch you need to have your ignition map slightly "too high" and then simply turn switch ignition retard off.

this method can actually produce a few different map combination. The downside is that you need to know which combinations are safe to run. The other drawback is that this method turns the set compensation on across the whole map...+5% can be ok in some places while it may cause teh engine to blow up in others

2. use the nitrous map to store your second map. use a switch to turn this secondary map on....

you can always plug in and just upload a second map.
