Hondata Kpro III
I got the fly lead issue resolved and should have everything up and running next week. I will post thoughts/impressions of everything once I have some seat time the new software. Hondata sent the ECU back with the stock AP1 kal on it so I had to load my tune back on it and I can confirm that initial uploads do progress much much faster.
I have three gripes about the analog fly lead harness
1 - The cables are not labeled. Color coded, but not labeled. There's no way to know which one is input 1, 2, 3, etc without taking off the cover and tracing the input labels on the Kpro board.
2 - The cables themselves route out of the Kpro with no cable management at all, they just stick out of the harness side of the ECU. Very cheap looking.
3 - No quick disconnects on the fly leads themselves. This is a major nitpick, but at the very least if you're not going to build a patch harness, put quick disconnects on the ends of the leads so the user has a basic idea of how to connect everything. I can already see a bunch of people hard wiring everything in, only to kick themselves when they have to take off the ECU cover while they're upside in the car just so they can disconnect the fly lead harness on the KPro board to remove the ECU from the car.
Maybe that's just me though.
