You are not changing the ecu or the way it works, just the map. So if you can pass w PRB then you can pass w PRA.

I picked up an RD-1, it's just a bit too big to fit in the stock cluster shroud. The ones that do fit, Aim and Racepak have rounded top corners and even they are a snug fit. I printed out the templates for both to check. It's too bad as it's a neat unit, but I may just end up selling it. Only way I can see to make it work is to make a case that's almost the same size as the screen/board and cut into the top piece of the steering column cover so it can drop down 3/4" or so. Not sure I want to go that far.

Yea i wouldnt do that, i just changed my cluster to blue so not looking to get rid of it. I guess you dont want to use it as a supplement? You want it to replace your cluster?

Just installed the RSX wideband and only issue so far is when I start the car, sometimes it doesnt register the sensor and will pop a CEL after a min or 2. If I kill the car and restart it the sensor kicks in after about 10 secs. I R CONFUSED.

Maybe a bad sensor? It does take about 10-15 seconds for the sensor to warm-up, but all of them are this way and should not pop a CEL. After a minute though, it will. Maybe check all your wiring. The sensors have a heater in them, so if you could get ahold of another O2 sensor, might switch it out and see.

I went through an OBDII inspection in Texas with KPro and the RSX wideband mod. No issues. In Texas, they are just checking for codes and making sure all EPA/Emissions stuff is functional (which KPro hides, LOL) when they connect to your OBDII port. All states are different though, so check in your area.

I don't want to do all this work and find out I have to 'go back to stock' every two years...

My UNDERSTANDING is that the PRA map will pass OBDII inspection *anyone?*

Thanks

Yeah, we are trying to hash out some options right now, JustinC helped me install it, we are gonna try a few things and see what we come up with. The really odd part is that it will not see the sensor the 1st time i turn on the car, no matter what, i tried everything. But as soon as i turn it off and then back on it kicks in after 5 seconds or so, every damn time, its wierd.

JustinC did all the wiring, soldered and double(triple) checked, the sensor itself I got from a link on the 1st page of this thread (http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61779) seemed legit in every way, talked to me on texts, gave me pix b4 he shipped, and it seemed all good when I got it. Maybe I just got a bad one, who knows, we are still exploring options.

Is your relay good? Have any others laying around to try out?
