so what's the danger in doing that? is it better to do that or to borrow someone else's turbo prb map as a basemap?

There is no real danger other than being aware that the basemap needs to be tuned asap. I would follow the same instructions on the basemap that hondata gives you as well. I would turn on lean cut and then drive the car very careful until you can get a street tune or dyno tune done to make it safe for driving.

That was the short version. How I realy did it was by printing every screen shot of the PRA map till I had a big book. Than opened the PRB map and manually enter every value till I had a mirror image of the PRA map, with the exception of a couple of values.

Took a while but I was at work and got paid to do it.
You can actually copy entire maps and paste them in a new file. Just to note, depending on whether your ap1 or ap2, the rpm and load cells on the top and sides are different depending upon which prb map you started from.

I changed the PRB maps rpm and load cells to match the PRA map also. Being new to hondata software I just did it the long way. Now if we could get hondata to include the base map in there folder.

Yes, you can use a gauge. Its called the Tunerview. It shows all of the info from a KPro. By far the best gauge you will ever buy.
Search the FI section. There is a 26 page writeup on it and JRtuning is great.

Topillogic, can you post that picture again of the wiring assembly? It seems to have vanished!

Has anyone tried this mod and gotten through an OBDII inspection?

I don't want to do all this work and find out I have to 'go back to stock' every two years...

My UNDERSTANDING is that the PRA map will pass OBDII inspection *anyone?*

Thanks
