Are you sure? Even if I'm tuned perfect and safe, isn't the motor still getting more wear due to higher 9psi?
Erik,

Your engine will no longer be stock, even with the original comptech pulley there is going to be more wear. The difference is your chances of detonation will be higher with a higher boost pulley. There will definiatley be more wear on the S/C with a higher boost pulley. As far as the engine wear it only makes sense that there will be more wear with a 9psi pulley vs a 7psi pulley. If your really worried about it I would just go with your original plan and install the 7psi pulley and see how you like it. Along with the AEM and tuning I'm pretty sure your gonna love it. I love mine and mine isn't even tuned yet, its running rich and still puts a smile on my face every time I get on it.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Josh

At some point you are going to want to turn up the fuel pressure so a higher capacity fuel pump and a way to adjust the fuel pressure are handy.

Twice I have exceeded my injectors capacity and turned up the pressure. Don't be intimidated by the injectors if you are getting the AEM EMS. A good tuner can make the car purr at idle with the 650s or 750s. I went with the 750s thinking I would never have to look back and now I'm running maximum duty cycle again with 65lbs fuel pressure. I wonder when RC will be making larger injectors for us like 850s or 1100s?
Anyway, my $0.02 is, if you are getting the EMS go with the 750s instead of the 550s or 650s and you shouldn't have to get them again.

I believe the 850's are already available for our car.

Don't be a wimp. Go with the 11 psi pulley.

How many mile have you had the pulley on for? If it would be some what safe if tuned right, then I would get the 11psi pulley for sure. Please let me know any info you can on that pulley, like price, where to get it, what size injectors to use and do you seriously think it would be safe or would I be killing the stock motor a lot faster?

You seem to continually focus on the pulley. Don't you understand that the pulley is one little piece of the equation. With the correct tuning a 9psi pulley is safe. Without the correct tuning a 5 psi isn't.

Decide what end result you want and workout the steps to achieve it.

how much more horse power can you gain between the stock pulley and the 7lbs pulley on the comptech s/c with a/c?

Figure about 13 or 14 hp per pound of boost if it is a 2 liter.
