Go through SOS (Science of speed) for the pulley, and map sensor.

Should i just get the 12PSI (3.0) pulley then?

I also just wanted to make sure that the map sensor is absolutely necessary. I don't mind paying for it if I have to but I am willing to bet with my set up that a 11 or 12 PSI pulley wont make over 10 PSI of actually boost. With my AC and larger heat exchanger I am maybe making 4.5 - 5lbs with the 6PSI pulley and that is at 9K.

your input is greatly appreciated.
You will need it, there is some inconstancies with the boost chart/pulley size. With my A/C set up Novie 1000, same as yours, I see 13psi at 9k with a 3.2" SOS pulley. If you have an ap2/8k rev you will make 1psi less. With a 3" Pulley you could touch 15psi at 9k. This is based on Sea level. If you are higher elevation you will see less boost.

should I get the 3.4in pulley then? It seems like the 3.2 is the best but they don't have it anymore
SOS doesnt have a 3.2" in stock anymore for the NV1000?

To clarify, what rpm will you be revving to? And you have the comptech A/C (water to air after cooler) with larger heat exchanger right? Or are you running an fmic?
9K. yes is the the comptech A/C with the larger heat exchanger. It mounts on the front but it is still air to water.

And I am not sure why the don't offer it anymore. It just says it is not available and has for some time http://scienceofspeed.com/products/e...00_SC_pulleys/

I was going to call SOS but I got one that Scott (s2k-f8) had

Just be sure its the correct pulley, the novi 1000 and 1200 do not use the same pulley

Shouldn't really lose boost with an aftercooler. Not like the fmic's. A free flowing exhaust can lower the boost you see though so maybe that is why.

I'm pretty sure Scott had the ct sc before the started making the other blowers available. Either way i checked the picture he sent me and it said novi 1000 on the pulley. Thanks for bringing that up though. I didn't think about that.

that could be it. I'm not to worried. I'll just get the map sensor if that is all it is. I will probably bring it to fullblown since they are located close to where I live and I believe they sell the map sensors as well.

Yeah there is only 1/2psi loss with our A/C. A larger heat exchanger has no effect, or relation to boost pressure. A typical ultimate racing fmic will lose 3-4psi on our set up, such a waste. You will make between 12-13psi with the sos 3.2" pulley and should reach the top end of your power goals no problem as long as everything else is sound.

sounds good. Ill just use the stock fuel pressure regulator.

I have the AEM EMS, Id1000 injectors, and pulley with belt on the way. Ill pick up the map sensor soon also.

I still have the stock ap1 retainers but checked them last night and where fine so wasn't going to change them out since I haven't tracked the car yet. Probably going to get the newer banjo bolts before I put the new pulley on though. Other than that it looks like i'm ready to rock and roll. I just don't want to make to much power because the SOS clutch can only hold about 400rwhp

I'm running the sos clutch, it will hold everything the Novi1000 can put out. No worries.
