Take a piece of wire and connect one end to the positive side of the battery and the other end directly to the power source pin on the ecu. You have to look at the ecu diagram that can be found on aem forums instructions. I think on the 1012 its B1.

Believe it or not the IOGEAR brand usb to serial is the best one to use. Its only messed up 2 or 3 times for me , and all I needed to do was restart the laptop.

oh snap, for usb, you have to define the com port that the usb to serial adapter is emmulating. then select that com port in the menu of aempro before trying to connect.

honestly, its so much easier if you have a serial ported laptop lol. i actually picked up a used dell 600m for a couple bucks and then bought a new battery for it and use it just for aempro. i know, not practical for everyone, but i have a usb to serial adapter cable and i hated it, well that and i was trying to use a 17" laptop to tune with ROFL. F that.

sounds good ill try that. Im using an old laptop with windows me. windows 7 didnt even work at all. Im using a






t3/t4 turbonetics turbo
walboro fuel pump
600cc deatchwerk injectors
aem 1012

what else ya need?

finally got a radio shack usb to serial cable and connected right up! thanks guys!

i am still looking for something i cld use to get my car around. base map would be nice. the only thing now is to try and get it started.. I changed my injectors to something close to what i have since it didnt show up. Any ideas on what i should try for the ignition and start up?
