I thought the newer cars, that come from the factory with turbos, also have those smog pumps. It'd be interesting to know how they're routed.

if you can deal with the light being on dont hook it up, you dont need it whatsoever. once those delete kits come out go that route, air pump is JUNK.
Andy, those kits are already out. Check the group buy forum...they're pretty inexpensive.

Turbo FMU/Rising Rate FPR? Are you serious? It's not going to work right because, unlike with a centrifugal supercharger, turbo boost does not build in direct correlation to rpm. So, for example, if the turbo boost were to fall off in the upper rpm range because you're using a small turbo (like a Greddy) then you're gonna be running extremely rich because the FMU will continue to ramp up fuel with your rpm's.

At least do a decent piggyback like the EManage or that new AEM FIC so you can tune ignition timing and fuel.

really you could have alot of fun is that why there is about 3 reputable companies making kits for the s2k with a fmu.... oh wait and I have had my turbo kit on for about 6k miles at 8psi....did a leakdown and compression test this weekend, compression test results cylinder1- 220 cylinder2- 219 cylinder3- 220 cylinder4- 217. oh and on leakdown there was not one psi of leak...... please comment on the extensive damage im doing to my engine.....
Nope, you're not doing damage...but I guarantee you're running dirty. How much HP are you putting down? I bet you're running quite rich. What's your full setup?

There is no way to remove the airpump and not have a check engine light, while using the stock ecu. The S2000 is smart, its very difficult to fool. You will either have to leave it as is or go to an aem ems. I still have mine and it causes no problems, so I dont know why you want to get rid of if anyway?
Wrong. Airpump delete kit by Challange:

$97 shipped. The advantage? Weight and airflow through the bay (especially if you're running brake ducting).

I have a Vorthech FMU, aem FPR, and RC injectors and I have a perfect air to fuel ratio. And I know if will not cut it for higher amounts of boost..... I went with a FMU for two reasons its cheap and I won't be tempted to go with higher boost and blow my engine..... And the three companies are rev hard, mahdavi motorsports, and ultimate racing... also my car is putting down 317rwhp

Go read the last pages of that thread, that airpump kit does not work!! there is A whole page of people pissed because they keep getting check engine lights.

As I said earlier The s2000 is smart, it is difficult to fool. I think one of the reasons may be that the ecu also monitors afr,s while the air pump is on. If it dosent see a lean condition under air pump operation it may throw a cel. But this is just a guess.

Holy cow! I just read the end of that thread. Looks like they need to work out the kinks.
