I am running a vortech kit with a 10 psi pulley and 550cc rc injectors. I removed the fpr and the esm.
What kind of adjustments did you have to make at an idle for this size injector? +/- 20%?

I have RC 440cc ready to put in mine. I have been running the F/IC for a few months now. The only thing I haven't switched is the Comptech FPR and injectors. I wanted to give the F/IC a chance to "learn" what my stock ECU was doing.

s2000junky on here said he didn't have to adjust ignition maps at all on his setup. He was boosting 10psi, too.

I have the 4.0" SoS pulley on my AP2 and it is supposed to give 8 psi. I seem to be coming shy of that number again according to my boost gauge. I need to do some logging with the F/IC and see what pressure it shows.

^^^ Correct no timing retard found to be needed at 10psi, however I feel that was pushing the bounderies a bit in some conditions, at the time of the dyno under the temperature conditions it was fine. Anything under 10psi I feel safe without performing any timing retard.

Suzuka you have an 8k rev limit so your only going to get 7 psi out of that 4" pulley. 8psi on a ap1 is normal. Also if your interested I am looking to trade my RC 550's for some RC 440's strait across. PM me if your interested. I need them for my current set up.

right right...7 psi. I'm still short. The gauge only shows 5 on a good day. oy!

Any who, let me think about the injector swap.

How is the new engine running for you?

I think at idle it is adjusted to -22.9% for 550 cc injectors. FYI if you download the newest program for fic all you have to do is type in the old injector size and the new injector size and it does all the work for you.

Junky I know you said you ran no timing retard on 10 psi but didnt you have alcohol injection? I plan on running no timing retard or very little when I install the alcohol injection but until then im keeping it safe. Also are you actually seeing 10 psi at the manifold or is it just a "10 psi" pulley? I am running a 10 psi pulley but only seeing 7.5-8.

No ...back when I ran the FIC at 10psi I was not running water/meth, now I am. I was actually making 10.5psi at the manifold then with the fic and oem timing map.

Wow thats pretty impressive. What kinda power were you making at that point? Also its a little concerning hearing someone ask you about your new motor what happened to the last motor?

Oh that sucks youre the guy who lost a motor from flooding. He must have been clueless to dump that much fuel for that long into your poor motor.
