Oh that sucks youre the guy who lost a motor from flooding. He must have been clueless to dump that much fuel for that long into your poor motor.
Thats me

Yeah he would get confused on which way to go numerically to cut fuel vs add fuel sometimes and kill the motor, and just trying random things to get the FIC to respond to something he wanted to do but didnt work right, random hiccups off idle and partial throttle that would go to 10.1 afr and probably lower were frequent, my wideband doesn't read lower then 10.1 so I didnt know how severe the conditions were at first, things like this over and over again ect. I felt like I was holding his hand most of the time with him trying to think through what he has done and hasn't done to get the partial throttle dialed in. It was stupid. It cost me not only a motor but $450 for the tune time, I felt I could have done a better job myself if I had use of the equipment and familiarity with the FIC navigation/adjustments.

Does it get any more complicated that - to pull and no "-" to add?

s2000isu - would you want to compare F/IC calibration files? Just looking to learn more about the F/IC in conjunction with how it reacts to other S2000's.

I am going to finally schedule dyno time in the very near future.

warning, no 2 maps will be the same. we had 2 of the exact same engines and the maps were different. only use a map online to put your way to the tuner

umm...yeah, already knew that. Why do you think I want to compare?

The F/IC is meant to work in harmony with the stock ECU. It makes me curious to see how much harder one unit has to be tweaked in order to work vs. another.

haha sorry...

Let me rephrase:

9KRDLIN:

thank you for the help. In case you didn't know, the F/IC is made to work in harmony with the stock ECU with as few changes as possible. I want to try to understand just how different two very similar setups can be with this unit.

I tell ya what was funny...

when I first entered the new and old injector sizes, I did so in reverse. When it populated the fuel map everything was in the positive instead of it being in the negative at idle. LOL I quickly changed that obviously.

Here is my current fuel map. Keep in mind these are the numbers I got to get the car idling and just running in general once installing the 440cc injectors.

I made just a few passes up and down the road here to see if I would get any hiccups and I didn't. But I also didn't pull past 4200 rpm I believe. I am working on getting a dyno day to spend smoothing this out and making as much power as I can.

My setup:
2.2L engine
stainless steel header (2" primaries and 2.5: collector)
2.75" high flow cat
2.75" T1R-70mm dual exhaust
AEM wideband sensor and gauge
AEM F/IC
RC 440cc injectors
SOS 4.0" pulley
walbro 255lph in-tank fuel pump

I think that covers it. I don't really know what to expect out of this setup but I am hoping for somewhere around a solid 300whp. That would be nice if I was around there.

I didn't screenshot the ignition map as I am going to see what my timing looks like on dyno day.

Comments...questions...suggestions are always welcome. These types of discussions benefit everyone here.
