Didn't get all of the bay done in time for primer today since I got sidetracked with another side job but it should get done tomorrow evening and hopefully all etching primered up.

looking good man.

Does anyone know why the coolant holes in the IP block are never even around the block? Is there something behind this? Nevermind, I think I see the reason when I look at the coolant holes in the head. Also, I thought the boosted pistons were supposed to be dished for FI?

i guess it all depends on what CR you decide to run. I'll have to get tom from inline to send me the spec sheet but i'm pretty sure these are 9:1 pistons

got some more progress on the bay. Last couple evenings have been hell since I'm doing all of this out of my one bay garage. Not much room but, i manage. Sorry, i love progress pics!

Got both fender well stripped, etching primered up and ready for undercoat and new BB paint

Back to rolling status. All that needs to be done is a good wetsanding of the 2k primer.

If you used a lot of bondo, you are going to have problems later.

Mine is starting to crack

Good Luck with the build & keep up the good work!

No bondo here! I used evercoat polyflex. Its a flexible glazing putty so it should be ok but we will see. But there always is that chance of cracking. Just a weekend car anyway so it wont see too much flex i hope. What are you going to do about the cracking?

I've had these pictures sitting around waiting to be posted for about a week or two now. I'm waiting on some more new parts from honda(for the hondata setup) and a new paint gun(devilbiss) to spray the bay with since a buddy of mine bailed on painting it for me last weekend. I should be able to get my clutch by the end of june so that i can drop the motor over in her. That is as long as i get the brake tuck and wire tuck finished up. I can wait to start putting it back together.
It seems as though all I do is take stuff off or apart. Sorry I love build pictures

just finished putting all the valvetrain in.

All of my earls fittings for the fuel, brake lines, and oil return

the car looks nice.. I wish i had the time/patience to tuck/shave my engine bay.

on a side note.. everyone here seems to pull the motor the hard way.. drop the front subframe so you dont have to seperate the engine and tranny. It took me about 3 hours to get the whole shit out by myself.

yeah hahah i figured that out by the time i started pulling it out of the top side. I'm so used to front wheel drive hondas and with the s everything is so different. Live and learn i guess! I've been so pissed off with the engine bay work for the past two months. Its a helluva lot of work with the shave and tuck but i think it will be worth it one i get color back on it.
