yes and they offered it to me too. But I was already on my way to get my turbo wrap from ATP.
was there something wrong with the shield?

Yes I used washers to shim the mount. I shimmed both under the mount and on top of the mount.
This was basically because I didn't have enough of the correct size washers handy to shim only under the mount (which I would have liked).
For the washers i used on top of the mount, the hole was 1/2 inch but total washer diameter was around two inches (for better support) and the thickness of each washer was slightly over 1/8" for a total stack up of over 1/4". I also used two washers under the mount (one on each bolt that is part of the mount that goes through the sub frame). Those washers were maybe a little more than 1/16 of an inch thick... The problem there is that the bolts on the bottom of the mount are very close together and because of it the washer diameter must be small for them to fit and of course I only had two washers that would fit.
Sorry I didn't take any pictures, but it was my fifth time under the car in a week and a half to resolve the mount problem. I wasn't very happy and just wanted it done and to work!

Appreciate the reply.
Ever since I installed the new Mase kit I have had a lot of vibration in the shifter. With the turbo hanging off the front of the motor their was more torque on the transmission mount causing the vibration. I did not worry about it much b/c I thought it was normal. After driving S2000442's (Daryl) car he also had some vibration but not nearly as much as mine. After driving his car I was debating whether or not to get mounts but wanted to avoid having excessive vibration transmitted to the body using harder mounts than the factory.
Flash forward a few weeks and now when making a hard left hand turn the manifold is now knocking against the firewall. Personally I think that the age and heat do play into the problem but I am convinced that torque is what kills them and I fear that the stock will not hold up long term. That being said I broke down and ordered some Innovative mounts today. I ended up finding them for $279 shipped and went with the 60A Street inserts and I am hoping they are smooth.

I had 85a's in my car and I loved them at first but it got old REAL FAST. Left the tranny mount but went back to OEM for the engine mounts. If they break, I'll just buy new OEM's again and try my luck. Not worth it IMO for a street car.

Not the news I wanted to hear

basically, the 60a's fatigue with time and have slack in them, possibly causing shifts in teh drivetrain/engine
I may have already busted my brand new OEM mounts... The motor seems to have more vibration/ play again while engaging the clutch. I'll have to check them this weekend when I have the car torn down.
Scott, I hear they will swap the passengers side with the 75A. This is the mount that is having all the problems.. They also make a heat shield for them for the S2000's. I'm pretty sure this innovative is local to me.
