I just ordered the Comptech SC through the GB at a good price (Also seeing Sideways car setup, SC w/ ported head, stock block, EMS that makes 450hp+) and I saw this BRP SC so I was reading through the threads on their forum and saw the limit of the M62 Eaton was about 350hp to 400 max with porting the blower.

Now my question is, is this still a good choice for those who want upgrades later? Because on the centrifugal types, it has already seen 450hp+.

It seems to me that the M62 itself is limiting the top hp and the only benefit of going the root type is the low end flat tq that it prvoides.

Am I missing something?

I don't think you are missing much.

The BRP kit is going to be limited to less overall flow rate (boost if you must) than a very highly tuned centrifugal setup. It will still feel like you dropped a more powerful (and lighter) M3 motor in there, though

I do love the sound of the roots type whining. I used to drive a civic w/ a B-series (Integra) engine with the Jackson charger.

No, you're not. If you're dyno racing, the BRP kit isn't right for you. End of story. Big HP is all about flow, and the M62 does not have enough flow for big numbers.

No. It depends on what you are looking for. I am mainly after low and mid range. I respect what CT and V have done with their SC's, but I would rather sacrifice max power for a signifant increase in low and mid range pull. That is where the car is lacking.
