There is an STI in my area that is turbo/supercharged. The blower has a clutch and a tiny pulley.....the turbo is a gigantic one that comes to full spool (naturally) near redline. The blower engages from idle to about 3000 rpm, fully spooling the turbo, then, when the turbo has enough of its own juice, the blower kicks off. Car is a monter.

Too sweet... I've always heard rumors and seen pictures, but never had a firsthand account. I wonder how reliable it is though? I guess that all depends on how much $$$ he spent. If you ever come across some pics, please share!

You know what, i rather wait an extra year for this thing, and know its 100% touble free, than having the nightmares the turbo guys are having due to rushed "bolt on" kits. So far, every single person I know with a turbo s2000 has had a decently large problem...all due to rushed production.
I've been turbo'd for over 3 years without any problems. A year an half with Ultimate Racing's and the rest of the time with my custom built. And there are plenty of others like me.

haha i would never, but for a while i was looking at this just bc it was something new and could make good power, but not when compared to a turbo s2000. about the turbo blower, could this work better if the blower went into the turbo's intake? possibly eliminating turbo lag?

Im glad, and you certainly are a rarity, but my experience is different. There are many turboed s2ks in the NYC area, and ALL kits are represented.... Inline Pro, Full Race, Lovefab, Ultimate Racing, etc. ALL OF THEM had problems. Whether it was bad oil lines, to parts not fitting, whatever, they ALL had headaches of some sort. The blower guys, are bolt and go.

For those that want to see what that looks like...here is a twin turbo STI, that is supercharged as well.... (this is NOT the one near me....the one near me has a single turbo) This one has 2 GT30s, AND an AMG (from Benz) blower.

The blower spools the turbos by 2300RPM (it would take until 7100rpm without the blower)

The blower has a bypass switch....why? MPG. Blower on, 6mpg, blower off, 26.

Still cool nonetheless.

It's all in the install and tuning of which I did with my own two hands.
