Well, as I stated in another thread, I am going to have the dealer put the crank pulley on. I need a bunch of fluid swapped (tranny, coolant, diff) and I know that is easy but its so messy I just hate it. So I will have the dealer do that along with the pulley and and I am due for a new serpentine belt.

I have the Walbro in and working fine. Its loud but I kind of like the whine it makes. I also have my Emanage in and functioning as well as PLX wideband and boost sensor hooked to the multiguage.

I guess I am ready to slap on a kit. I just need to figure out where the burnt plastic smell is coming from. I routed the wideband sensor away from anything hot (its actually ziptied to another harness) but I think a couple of the zip tie ends are actually touching the exhaust or at least I hope that is what it is. I don't want to burn through a wire and short out the sensor.

For some reason after hooking up the Emanage my car sounded a little louder and deepr to me. I don't know why. I have not done anything to the exhaust. I thought maybe it was just that I had not started it for a few days but my wife said the same thing. "Why is it a little louder?" Not really bad or anything, but just enough to notice.

I have only driven it around the block a few times and the AF fluctuates between 14/17 on idle and decel, and goes to 12 when accelerating under load. I don't know if that is normal for an NA car, I presume it is, just never had a guage for it before.

Need to resolve the burning plastic smell and make sure its safe to drive before I put some miles on it. I don't know how long shipping the kit is but I am anxious to say the least.

I don't know that I will ever change the pulley size from the stock. I would like to pick up either a Mugen or Fujitsubo exhaust hoping that will net me a little something, but I am not a fan of louder exhausts. I bought one I read on the board was a "quiet 70" (the V4 invidia) and sold it the day after I installed it. If I can get to 320hp with a couple extra dohickeys thats probably good for me. On the AP1 you are at suggested blower limit with the stock pulley. Its a little different for you AP2 guys.

BTW LOTS of interest in this thread. Almost 50,000 views.

The SOT kit now has the option of coming with either a trunk relocation ( wires and such) or a under hood batt relocation to the cross member with a Odessey battery.

Camuman your experiences have led me to consider how to integrate an A2A intercoolers for the 145mm crank pulley and possibly for the 135mm.

Not sure when I am going to under take that project; I just bought a 09 STI so now I have two project cars the S and the STI

The A2W is the better option for the 125mm as it provided better response.

Over the past year my ULT experience has grown substantially and I believe with a different vacuum setup for the blowers bypass in combo with some tricks on the ULT/AEM I can prevent idle droop that tends to happen with a big A2A when the TB has been moved ( large throttle volume) as it is on a roots supercharger.

The negative on the A2A is the throttle response but will not be that bad with the 135/145mm cranks.

Vader just called you.

Which battery are you going to use.
A metal jacketed one or a non-metal jacket one.

That will determine which battery tray needs to be sent your way.

I ordered the MJ and it has been shipped.

And just to be clear, I am ok to drive on that map that has the disabled injector scaling change we did over the phone, and then switch to the other one on new injectors? Just want to know if it is ok to do normal driving in traffic, VTEC on those maps.?.?

dont worry, with out a turbo swap the sti will be slower trap speed then the S. mine out traps my buddies 06 sti that makes about 320whp, although he did cut a 1.7 short to my 2.1

i am praying for a good showing this time around at the track.

the STI will run a good time but the MPH will suck. I'd rather have a 12 second S2000 than a 12 second STI
