Internet Brands bought the site from the previous owners a couple years ago, but the premise of the site remains the same, we do what we can to protect our members. There are never any guarantees when buying/selling on any forum, this one is no different, but we help wherever we can. Some vendors/people are out to scam people from the get-go, by having members pay to sell, we have certain information about these people, so if/when they do scam someone we can forward that information to the parties/people that need it in order to rectify the situation, it also protects our community. We can also flag that information for when/if they try to come back and do it again, you'd be surprised how many people try to do this. This isn't about money, this is about protecting our members and our community.

In regards to vendors there tends to be far less problems, and when there is a problem it is either sorted out or they are banned. It may or may not help get the money back, but it does prevent them from doing it to anyone else.

You've made this about the money and the fees members and/or vendors pay in order to sell here only, there's a lot more to it than that. Sure, there are free sites out there, let me know how much support you get from them when something goes south for you. I'm here for the community and the members (guests too) and I'll do whatever I can to help and protect them.

Thank you for the reply. I have responded in PM to keep this thread on topic.

What a serious shop
I first saw Wadzii's posts with "Banned" today. So I did some searching and can see this thread is why. Honestly, even after having read this entire thread I do feel for the OP. _But_ I also question how the OP could be so naive as to to give a foreign company $8500+.. no way in hell I'd pay that much money and ship an engine overseas.. what was the form of payment?

I'd have used Paypal. At least you can use Paypal as leverage if/when a company falls short on delivering what you paid for.

Full disclosure: I bought an AEM Infinity from wadzii ~3 weeks ago (PnP harness, fuel pressure and wideband sensors, wadzii's custom aux harness for the extra sensors, etc). Did so using a paypal invoice just in case. But thankfully Jason was very helpful and professional and delivered on what I purchased. No complaints at all.

I _know_ from having read this thread the OP will just respond to me harping about how "well I'm screwed". Yeap, you definitely are. Sorry about that. But given how you've gotten wadzii banned and are on a mission to bury his business you'll never see that refund money. You may feel like you exhausted all options so you're taking the gloves off but _this_ thread is a cautionary tale for everyone else on: why you don't do business with a company you cannot even properly communicate with.

I've purchased parts from Japan but only at $100 - $250 each. It was a leap of faith, I couldn't imagine spending $8500+ purely because a company in the US _seems_ reputable.

FYI, I also bought Ohlins DFVs from Urge Designs. Patrick was also great to deal with. Seems the Urge haters had much more intrusive engine work done?

You were buying parts from other companies through CNC...not much of a risk there huh. They are such a stand up company and your in the states would you buy and engine from this shop even if they were next door to you? Probably not huh.

So what was OP to do? Blow sunshine up CNC ass until he paid a fraction of what he deserves? The bottom line is CNC said he would refund some money and he has not. The shop is a POS and guys like you supporting them and commenting on this thread with to bad for you attitude does not help.

Your comments are nothing but ignorant.

I was really hoping to hear Wadzii apologize, refunded the money and move on with good business. I really wanted to believe there were a few honest re-builders for this platform.

This sucks, but it's good to see the Admin team protecting it's users and dishing out repercussions for bad business decisions.
This
That.

Are there any reputable engine builders left for the F2*C platform? I've heard of issues now with CNC, Endyn, Kings.... What's left now?...

Saul from Mission Critical was the guy that I have been having my engines built for well over 7 years, but he just passed away. RiP

Inline Pro? Honestly I'll just stick to power goals that an oem engine can handle, lol. Then I don't have to worry it was put together right!

I was in the boat of trying to find a shop to build me a engine...I ended up getting a good deal for a jdm imported block from the manager at inline. They might be one of the only good engine Builders around.

Actually, up until this thread I would've (especially if I move to NC like I'm thinking of doing). But now I obviously would have reservations. But Jason (wadzii) said he let the 2 other people in his employ, who created problems like the one the OP had, go. I've had phone conversations with Jason. Aside from how knowledgeable he is I also think he is trustworthy. He didn't defend himself particularly well in this thread but I'd still give him a chance to explain his side to me before I dismissed him for any of my future (more intrusive engine) business.

Hi !

As i said earlier in my post,

The main problem with this situation is that i had notifiy him about the problem i found on the engine block, it took so much time because it seems that he did'nt to paid the shipping returns. I paid the shipping returns. He had the parts and now, he is "proposed/imposed" me a refund that he can't give for X reasons.

How can you find time to gain new customers and new deals, on the other hand don't give any sign to the one that you need to refund.

Is that a way to deal with customers ?
