Hey guys, just installed a Competition Clutch Stage 4 clutch with Competition Clutch Ultralight flywheel.

After driving it for around 50 miles, the clutch started to act up. I can only depress the clutch halfway down, then it gets really stiff and if I push on further, the pedal vibrates a lot and if I push even harder, the vibration gets amplified.

The funny thing is this only happened at speed lower than 20mph, especially when I start moving after a stop. After each stop, it was really hard to get into first gear because I couldn't fully depress the clutch. It felt exactly like you not pushing the clutch deep enough and it was really hard to push the shifter to first gear.

Anyone experienced this before? Any clue what's going on?

That does not sound like CC Stage 4 issue, more like an install issue....I will tell you (I have same setup) it takes about 500 - 750 miles for the thing to break in properly.

 

the pedal should never be stiff with these comp clutches, somethings def up i would uninstall and make sure everythings where its supposed to be

 

You might want to check your slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder rod for leaks.

 

make sure the clutch release bearing and bearing fork are installed right
