Nice job. 3D printing something might be an option too

Another member made something similar a few years back that mounted it lower down in the center. However, it ends up being really angled up and I thought it would be harder to read & would potentially block the speedometer. The way it's mounted now is directly parallel to the face of the gage cluster and is very easy to read while driving.

If I get motivated at some point I plan on attempting this again while mounting the gage lower like you're suggesting. Realistically though, that probably won't happen for ~6-12 months from now as I have too many other projects going on.

EDIT: Here was the link another member did: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/559.../page__st__525

I seriously considered this as we do a lot of SLA parts at work, but we don't have a laser scanner that would be needed to map the OEM cover. It would also be pretty expensive for a one-off of a part this big. Similar things I have had printed cost ~$400-500 for this size/volume of material. Right now I'm out a grand total of $40 after buying another OEM cover, the fiberglass, and the paint.

Their software interface also gives the impression of dating back to the 90's. While the idea behind the gauges is great, their quality and execution is subpar (in my opinion) and certainly not something I would expect from a setup that costs $350. You can also still see streaks running across the screen that were "fixed" during the second warranty that I eventually just gave up on (though they were way worse before I sent it in).
I have a PLX DM-6 with their WBO2 and am using a PLX DM-100 Touch for boost. I always liked the DM-6, but the DM-100 Touch is a bit disappointing. I love that it's OLED and doesn't light up the entire car at night (black level is horrendous on cheap LCDs), but it's slow to respond to any inputs, the S2000 screens appear to be made to work for the extra sensor modules, not the OBD2 data, there is a lot of lag on the S2000 style screens, and like you, I have had a lot of problems with them staying powered and communicating. When I just had the DM-6, it worked every time. Once I added the DM-100, random communication problems started. Sometimes, neither would display any sensor data and currently neither will turn on. It's making me seriously consider another brand of gauge. I love that I can have digital and analog communication simultaneously with the KPro 3, but the other hassles aren't worth it.
