Does a Comptech SC KIt feel fast?

I have a Vortech kit in my car running AEM EMS w/ 600+ injectors, also running a 3.6 pulley it really make a big different if you upgrade that pulley for more boost. Definitely recommend pulley up grade with my set up I dyno it 2 weeks ago and it was making a little more than 400 HP with 259 ft lb I tracked it with my 4.00 pulley and I was running 13.28 but i'll post my dyno graph tonight hopefully.
the only sucky thing about Vortech is that you have to wait for that initial hit at 6k that is the only down fall comparing to turbo. But i think it kick as hard as turbo.

OK well ordered the 4.77 gears from hardtopguy this evening with the speedo calibrator. Can't wait to install them. Hope no bolts break while doing the swap. Anything good to replace normally that goes when doing the swap?
4.77's plus vafc tune should make it pretty fun(not that it's not already though)
Who is doing your intstall? Or did you buy the entire pumkin w/4.77's already installed from HTG?

I bought them already installed in the pumpkin. I will do the diff swap with my brother I think.
Got that with cryo'd gears and the speedo calibrator. Same as you were selling.
They were on sale for $900 so pretty nice deal.

you will love 4.77s , its like a completely different car. here is a vid of me racing a modded HR! u will see when i hit the invisible wall at 90ish mph
(2nd and 3rd race on video)

i jumped the first race. but u get the idea of how fast u gotta shift!

how would 350whp be with 4.77s? to much over kill? CTSC btw. I know turbo and gears like 4.77s would be just dumb

Installed my new diff a couple of days ago and finished the whole heat cycle break in process. Man the car is so much more fun now. I can really just punch it around 3k in 2nd or 3rd gear and it actually takes off. I can now do quick accelerations and not even get into vtec anymore. Rowing through the gears is really awesome!
I am very happy with my decision. I don't know how much FASTER it actually is, but it sure does feel much faster to me. I now can start in 2nd gear just as if it was 1st gear before. No longer have a bogg feel in first gear when starting out. So far don't mind the higher rpm's at all.
I also can easily drive around in 6th gear on 45 mph roads with plenty of power. I think my MPG's should get better around town due to being able to be in a higher gear or two always. Highway 6th gear is real nice too. Can actually accelerate without downshifting.

Next is to still get a SC I think. 4.77 plus a SC would be a blast I think.

when the SOS one comes out that will be tempting. i'm just hoping i DON'T buy one as everyone at work knows i can't keep a car stock for long. 4.77s + SC will be damn awesome though...

for now, i gotta change out the map sensor. i still haven't gotten on it completely in vtec yet. i did the map-whack and i strapped it down but vtec is crap at the moment.

in a belt driven s/c such as the comptech, vortech, kraftwerks, and even the SOT roots, boost is dictated by the pulley you are running

the stock comptech/vortech kits do not touch vtec; the kraftwerks kit for the ap2 v2 utilitizes a reflash that lowers vtec

if you want to lower vtec with a comptech/vortech/ roots s/c set up, you will have to use an emanage ultimate, AEM EMS, or K PRO
Or a simple vafc, which will also give the needed open loop fuel trim needed pre vtec on the stock system. Much better tune with then without. Believe it or not the vafc can still be a valuable inexpensive option when your still using stock injectors.
